How to Down grade Avaya IP Office 500v2 From R8 to R7

You will need a serial to USB adapter if you do not have a serial port on your PC. You will also need software like PuTTY http://www.putty.org/

You will need to know what serial port the adapter is on on your computer and the speed needs to be set to 38400. Once you have putty running restart the IP office and start hitting Esc as soon as you put the IP office back in. Once the text stops scrolling you need to enter these commands:

AT THEN ENTER
AT-X1 THEN ENTER
AT-X2 THEN ENTER
AT-X3 THEN ENTER
AT THEN ENTER
AT-X THEN ENTER.
